Josie was born on 4/13/10 at 12:44 pm. She weighed 6 lbs 1 oz and was 18.5 inches long. She has a little bit of hair and is a very good baby so far!

Phiaisms Part 5
Sunday night we were headed home from Shane family Easter get together. Delphia wasn't happy about going home because she was having fun playing with her cousins. We had given her her water, monkey and blanket when we buckled her in. When we got home they were all thrown out of her chair and on the floor. Shane said, "Delphia, you threw monkey, your cup and your blanket!" She just looked at him and said, "I picked my nose too!"

Playing Outside and Electricity!
Yesterday Shane got the chance to learn a new skill. My dad, Uncle Les and Shane all got together at the house so we could get more power sockets in the basement for my sewing machine and computer which are being moved downstairs to make room for Josie J. They put in 3 new outlets and set up the basement for all the wiring that will need to be done to finish the basement. Shane was very happy that he did most all of it and Les just told him what to do. He hooked up everything to the main breaker, put the outlets in and ran the wiring.
He even fixed the 3 outlets on the bar in the kitchen that stopped working about a year after we moved in. I now have 6 outlets in the kitchen work space instead of just 3.
We also got Phia's old summer stuff packed up and Josie's closet arranged for the most part. We need to get curtains bought/made and hung and get her vinyl decorations on the walls. We need to get internet downstairs and get the computer moved and the chair moved into the babies room. Shane also got the garage cleaned out in hopes that we can fit 2 cars in it. Delphia had fun playing outside on her bike and with the bubbles while he was keeping an eye on her while cleaning and I was working on my dad's invoices.

New and Wrecked Cars
As I previously posted Shane wrecked the Nissan about 3 weeks ago and State Farm decided they were totaling it because there is 3800 in damage and possibly another 500 more inside after they took it apart. So, we were looking for another car after we found all of this out last Tuesday. I was kinda sad because we had just gotten two cars and I had my own car to drive me wherever my little heart desired. My dad called my uncle however and found a car for us that would cost us what they were giving us for the Altima which wasn't much since it had just hit 195,000 miles. We are planning on going and picking it up on Thursday in Tremonton.

Baseball Phia
Delphia loves to play "baseball." She has the right idea that you hit something with something else and that one is a ball and the other a bat. However anything will do for the ball and the bat. She uses her dustpan, broom and pinto the pony for the bat and various balls etc for the ball. She never asks me to play baseball with her. It is an activity reserved especially for Daddy.
It Matches My Shirt!
Delphia has this new thing with everything matching her outfit/shirt. If she doesn't know what matches she asks. I am not sure where it came from all of a sudden. I know we have told her certain things don't match but I think sometimes she goes a little overboard with her matching. Take this picture for example. She had to have a green spoon, green cup, and green bowl to match her green shirt. I guess I should rephrase that and say that she had to have a verde spoon, cup and bowl to match her verde shirt. Every other color is the english name except green and occasionaly red.
Soft Water and Bubble Baths
We decided we need to get a water softener to see if it would help Delphia's scratching. After much hassle and wasted time it was finally installed. Now we just need to decide to stick with Superior or to buy our own.
Delphia loves bath time and the other night Shane was bathing her and I heard him start to laugh. I asked what happened and he said I would have to come and see. She apparently had bubble on her hands and clapped and it all sprayed into her face. She wanted them washed off but we convinced her to let me take a picture.

Phiaisms Part 4
Shane got in a car accident about a week and a half ago. That night when Phia went to get in the car she said, "Poor car!" I explained that Daddy broke the car's lip and that we would get it fixed. She is always telling us now that the cars lip is broken and that we need to get a rojo lip for the car because daddy broke the white lip.
She is so set on cars lips breaking that when Grandma was putting her car seat in her car yesterday and Delphia saw her out the window she said, "Oh man, I sure hope Grandma doesn't break that cars lip."
Our speedometer lights weren't working after the accident and so Shane would turn the inside light on to set the cruise control. Well, you know how you tell your kids something so that they don't ask questions....it happened to us. We are always telling Phia that we can't have the light on in the car at night so that Shane doesn't hit another car. We tell her this because we want her to go to sleep on the way home and if the light is on she won't. Well, Shane had the light on to set the speed and she was very upset telling him to turn the light off so he would hit another car. Over and over she kept telling him until he turned it off and then every time the speed changed and he had to turn the light back on.
Shane was bathing her this morning and just out of the blue she said, "Daddy you wear me out!" I guess she decided to tell him because I tell her that some
days.
Last Sunday she was sitting on my lap and we were getting ready to watch a movie. All of the sudden she put her face to my belly and said, "Josie, come out right now!" I told her that Josie couldn't come out yet and she sat for a minute thinking and then put her face back to my belly and said, "Josie let me in!" It cracked me up and I realized how confusing it must be for us to tell her there is a baby in there and it's moving and kicking but she can't see it. It must seem like the baby is never going to be here to play with.

Hangbrella!
Delphia loves unbrella's or rather "hangbrella's" as she refers to them. She could play all day with the umbrella at Grandmas and has quite the imagination. It is raining so you need the hangbrella so you don't get wet and then she will show you the rain cloud in the sky. She likes to have picnics under the umbrella and give you pretend food. Eventually it stops raining and she takes the umbrella down, but before you know it is raining again and up the hangbrella goes!
Spying Glass
Delphia loves spying glasses. Yesterday at my mom's she came down with a little mirror and told me it was a spying glass and makes things bigger. Grandma told her that Grandpa had a spying glass and went to get it for her. She had fun looking at rocks with Grandma for a little while with the spying glass. They also looked at flowers, eyes, teeth and froggies on her blanket.
Little Rider
Delphia got this bike for Christmas but hadn't been able to reach the pedals or figure out how to pedal. She pushes it all over the house with her feet and drags it all around. Last week she brought it in the kitchen and showed us that she could pedal. Ruby brought Emma's bike to the park last week and Delphia climbed on and she pedaled it a little bit. Later that afternoon we took her bike outside so she could practice. I found that she can either pedal or steer but not both at the same time! She had fun pedaling and then we visited with our neighbor Pat for about an hour before we headed in the house.

More Digital Stuff
Last Thursday I was at my mom's and we were making dinner. Delphia pulled out this juice pitcher and was walking around with it on her head singing "Happy Birthday" and telling us it was her birthday hat. Lately, anything she can put on her head is a birthday hat or a helmet!
Playing in the leaves this last fall after trying to help Grandma and Grandpa sweep them up.
Attempting to play Spencer's harmonica this past week. She actually got to where she could dance and make different sounds.

Park It!
Earlier this month we decided to go to the park because it was such a beautiful day! It was a little chilly but with a coat it was manageable! We went with Ashley and her girls but they didn't stay real long because they hadn't brought jackets. Delphia didn't want to go home as she has been wanting to go to the park all winter long. We stayed for about 45 minutes and headed home. She did really well for having surgery on her legs the week before and just had a ball. There was a little boy from her nursery class at the park and she had fun trying to play and get him to go down the slide.
Making it Homey!
I finally found couch pillows to match my red and aqua theme in my living room. I have looked a lot of places the last 4 years and nothing seems to match. I was tickled to find them at Costco last Tuesday! I even found new bath mats for the bathrooms that are so soft and cushy! It is amazing what a finishing touch and how warm the pillows make the living room couches seem!
Finished Things
I have been trying to finish up all the unfinished projects I have and have gotten quite a few done.
The first is this Welcome Spring sign that I started forever ago and never finished. My mom finished it for me over the winter and now it is on my front table just waiting for spring to come!
Second was this pillowcase for Delphia. She wanted a new one to replace her valentine one. On Wednesday we went and got the fabric and I whipped it up today during sewing class.
Third is this rag quilt for Josie. I bought the fabric in January and got it cut and sewn in 2 days or so but the clipping seams thing stretched on and on. I was so happy to finish it on Tuesday at my mom's. I vowed never to make one again after I made one for Ruby but I decided to do another one anyhow. The clipping was so hard I actually had a blister on my thumb, but it sure looks cute in her crib!
Fourth is this dress that I bought the pattern for. I had this cute polka dot fabric and so I cut it out and it took about 6 hours to sew. It looks really cute on her and I just need to put buttons on the back to attach the straps.

Phiaisms Part 3
Just have to jot down a couple funny conversations etc I have had with Delphia lately.
Yesterday we were at Grandmas and she was watching Dora on the bed with Baby Jaguar. I wasn't in the room but overheard this conversation with Baby Jaguar. She looked at Baby Jaguar and said, "Good night Baby Jaguar." She paused and said, "Baby Jaguar doesn't speak English, he speaks Spanish. Have to say Buenos noche Baby Jaguar." It cracked me up because Dora is always saying certain people don't speak English so they have to speak Spanish."
After her surgery she couldn't have a bath for 2 weeks and she really hates showers. We were trying to talk her into showering with Shane. She looked at me and said, "Me shower and daddy shower. You not shower mommy!" I said, "I thought you didn't like showers." She responded with, "I like showers." I told her, "Well, that's news to me!" She looked at me and said, "That's news to me too!"

I saw this poem on a blog and new Delphia would love a book for Sacrament Meeting. Yesterday at my mom's I put it all into Adobe and sent it to Costco. They will go in a 4x6 album. We had fun taking different pictures for her book.
