Like Mother, Like Daughter

This is my girl, who likes what I like for the most part. On this day she wanted Cream of Wheat for breakfast with toast. She even likes to dip her toast into her Cream of Wheat and her oatmeal.

Shane and I have decided that she has my tastebuds since she likes a lot of things that I like. She likes oatmeal, yogurt, Cream of Wheat, anything pumpkin, peanut butter and she does not like sloppy joes like her daddy!

Random Funnies From The Past Few Months

1) Everytime Josie poops she pulls on both of her ears. It is so hard not to laugh when she does it!

2) Delphia calls Josie Josie Jaddles.

3) Delphia finally stopped having accidents after she decided there was a Pee-Pee Monster who would come and get her if she peed her pants. What a blessing that has been. I was to the point that I didn't know what to do. She tells us she's not finished potty-training but every morning she wakes up and tells us that she is not going to pee her pants because she wants to stay with us and not go with the Pee-Pee Monster! We will have to remeber this when we try to potty train Josie.

4) Delphia went to Sunbeams for the first time today and we didn't know what to expect since we have had problems with her going to nursery because she is "done with the little people!" We walked her into Primary and she went and sat by her teacher. After Sharing Time she walked to her class and gave me a hug and went on her merry way.

5) Delphia thinks that Tinkerbell protects her room by sleeping in the corner of her bed.

6) Josie loves to point her finger. If you point your finger she will reach out and point with her finger and touch yours.

7) We call Josie our Roly-Poly. If you lay her on the bed she rolld over right away. It is quite the feat to change her diaper.

8) Delphia is in love with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Tink

Grandma Freeman got Delphia a Tinkerbell dress-up box for Christmas. Now, 2 weeks prior to Christmas she became a huge "Tink" fan. She loves flitting around the house in her "Tink" costume.

Just now Shane was getting ready to get her in the tub and she said, "I love wearing these Tink clothes, but I am ready for them to be off."

Trouble...

If you haven't ever seen trouble in a walker, here she is....

Put her in her walker and she will work her way over to the blinds. She's not real great at walking forwards but somehow can really move backwards.

She loves to stand and gets going when you let her hold your fingers. She just wants to walk it seems. She loves her walker because she can stand and play.b However, watch out when she really starts moving in it!

Phia the Belt Stander

Yes, you saw right. That's how Delphia travels all around the house when Shane is home. About 6 months ago he had he stand on his belt so he could "hold" her and do other things that needed done. She loves it!

The other night he was in pj's and Phia wanted to stand on his belt. He told Delphia that she couldn't because it would make his pants fall down. She pouted and cried and so, Shane being the softie he is went and put his belt on over his pj's.

Exhausted

Need I say more?

Christmas Eve

Tradition on Christmas Eve is to spend it with the Freeman side. This year we got together at BJ and Haleys. We just talk and visit and the kids play.

This year Amanda had brought the supplies to make graham cracker gingerbread houses. The kids had a lot of fun. Delphia really liked the sprinkles.

Then there is the annual grandkid picture. Some years go really well depending on the age of the kids and others not so well depending on how tired they are.

Phia Writes Letters

On Christmas Eve we were waiting for Shane to get home and Delphia brought out her Magna Doodle (this is the best toy we ever bought for her!) She wanted to write words, so I would write a word that she would say she wanted to write and she would imitate the letters underneath.

We have worked on the letter A and she points out every letter A that she sees. Next week are are working on the letter B, Number 2 and talking about polar animals. She simply loves to learn!

Sisters Have Fun!

I will admit, I love my girls. I was really hesitant to have two girls together, but now that I have seen them interact with each other and their concern for each other, I know they will best best buds (most the time.)

If Josie is crying Delphia covers her ears and tries to figure out why she is crying. She will tell us, "She is crying because she doesn't want to be in her car seat." or she wants to be held or she is hungry.

If someone takes something from Josie, Delphia defends her.....but on occasion she still makes her cry by taking something away.

Mobi-Go

I have a Moby that I wear to carry Josie in. Delphia has a scarf that Melody crocheted for her 2 years ago. Delphia always asks me to put her Mobi-Go on so she can put her doll/animal in it.

Gingerbread Party

The first part of December we got together with my family to have a Christmas Party for the kids. The main highlight was making gingerbread houses. We had dinner and then it was onto the making of houses.

We had Delphia knead the frosting white we got the pieces broken in half. Luckily the house was preassembled.

Then it was time for Daddy to pipe on the frosting so Delphia could stick the candy on. She did pretty well getting the candy on the house and not too many pieces made it into her mouth.

She sprinkled cocohut onto the ground of her house for snow and even tried to taste it. However she forgot that she doesn't like coconut and was soon scraping every piece off her tongue.

Josie sat in her highchair trying to figure out what we were doing.

The completed house.....

The completed house with it builder.

I was amazed at how well it held her attention and how long it lasted.

After the houses were done we played Christmas Bingo twice and Grandma read a Christmas story.

Temple Square

We went to Temple Square for Shane's Birthday, but we got off to a late start since Delphia had dance and I had Activity Days.

Delphia was most excited to ride the train (TRAX). She loved the train last year and has just been waiting to ride again. There were hardly any people on the way downtown and we got a seat and didn't have to worry about Phia being too noisy.

Josie wasn't too sure about the whole thing and she looked like the State Puff Marshmallow in her pink coat.

We got off the tran and got hot chocolate and wandered around Temple Square. We went in to see the Christus and had 10 minutes till it closed when Delphia announced she needed to go potty. Shane took her to the bathroom and when they got out we only had 3 minutes or so to get up the ramp. Shane took Phia up so he could do it fast. Delphia got to the top and saw the Christus and said, "Daddy, He is so beautiful!"

They came back down and we saw the nativity outside and headed back to the train. It was a short night but perfect for the 2 girls. We left around 6:00 but we didn't get home until after 11:00 with the 45 minute drive each way and then the TRAX ride.

On the way home on TRAX Delphia was goofy and started singing Ruldolph loudly and some other guy on the train started singing with her. He would say a line and wait for her to say the next line. It was pretty funny!

Josie Doll

These pictures were taked on November 28, 2010 before we headed off to church.

Laughing

Bounce

We picked up a Jenny Jump-Up for Josie and this is her first time in it. We later ended up taking it back because she really didn't like being in it and would just cry!

Hats For Sale....

Back in November I read "Hats For Sale" to Delphia. About a week later she came out with multiple hats saying that they were for sale. I got her to give one to Josie and pose for a couple pictures!

We kept trying to get a picture of Josie and she kept pulling this face.
