I guess a month has almost past and I haven't updated my blog. I think this means that not too much has gone on.
I am starting to feel a little better, but nights are just the worst! I don't know who thought that a good name was morning sickness, but mine is definitely night sickness. Ughhh!
I had my MD appt last wee kand we got to hear the heartbeat, which was pretty cool. The heart beat was 156 which I guess the old wives tale says will be a girl but I am still pretty darn certain that it is a boy. Everyone else thinks that I will have a girl. We have finally settled on names, so once we find out what we are having on April 12 we will officially be able to call the baby by name. I finally got Shane to answer what he wants us to have, well kind of. He said that if we are only having one kid he wants a girl, but that if we are having more than one he doesn't care. We will definitely have more than one, I have just given him a bad time that I never want to be pregnant again.
I found this cool name website. You can type in a name and it will tell you how many people had that name back until the 1880's. Pretty cool! http://www.babynamewizard.com/namevoyager/lnv0105.html. The names that we like aren't really popular compared to some but we really like them. If it is a boy he will be Ammon Blair and if it is a girl she will be Delphia May and we will call her Delphi. I find it interesting that both of these names were really popular during the 1880-1890s.
I can't wait to find out what we are having so that we can start on the nursery. If it is a boy we are going to paint and decorate the room in Behr Cloudless, Marsh Fern and Brown Tepee and if it is a girl we will decorate in Brown Tepee, Candy Coated and one other color. I made two polka dotted quilts that we are basing the colors on and I just love pink and brown and blue and brown.
Well, I guess I better get to work and get some things done. We are having a birthday party thing at work today for our boss and having cake and ice cream. We couldn't decide what to do for him and on Monday I brought in a bundt cake with sour cream, white chocolate chips and pudding and he ate 3 pieces and so we decided that he must really like it and so that's what we are doing. Some of the gals in the office wrapped stuff on his desk and the pictures on his wall yesterday after he left and blew up balloons and put them everywhere. It should be pretty fun!

Just A Bit Of Shoppig...
Just a Few New Pages
I have probably scrapbooked more in the last week than I have in the last 6 months and it feels really good. I still have a box full of pictures and probably 200 or so more to develop so I need to get busy before this baby comes!
Just a Bit of Shopping
Shane and I had just a little bit of fun shopping the other day. When we saw this pattern in turquoise and brown we fell in love with it and decided that it would work for a boy or for a girl. We went around to compare prices and the only place that carried this line by Graco was Wal-Mart. We also got a dresser and a matress, but I couldn't find a picture. We still need to go pick up the crib, because the store we went to was out of stock. It feels good to have all of the main item bought and put away in the basement so that when we find out what we are having we can start putting the baby room together.
I was 20 weeks this past Friday and so I looked up a picture on the internet and this is what are baby should look like.
I had an appointment last Wednesday and everything looked good. Shane had me conviced that I was going to get in trouble for not gaining enough weight, but all was well. I have gained 3 lbs total and am back up to where I ws when I found out I was pregnant. The baby measured at 20 weeks and the heartbeat was 140. I have decided that hearing that little heartbeat is the best sound in the world at the moment. I could listen to it all day. We have a Doppler at work and I sometimes bring it home just for my own piece of mind.
Saturday evening I was at my mom's and heading out the back door to get ice cream and root beer and I fell off the back step and landed on my hands and knees. Immediately my first concern was 'baby bean' and whether or not he was okay. Everyone was reassuring me but I did have Shane call the on-call MD and she said he was well padded and as long as I don't have bleeding and cramping then things should be fine. I do think that I was really worried about it though because I woke up with a migraine and ended up not going to work. I had Shane stop by my office so that I can hear the little bean's heartbeat tonight to calm my worries.
Our ultra sound is scheduled for April 12 and we just can't wait. I am convinced that it's a boy still but only time will tell. Shane and I have plans to head up to Park City right after and do a little baby shopping. The only things I have bought other than big stuff is 3 bibs. I have really tried to behave myself, but I told Shane I want to at least buy a couple of things since there are so many cute things.
Oh, and in other great news my sister announced that she was pregnant (which I was kind of suspecting). She think that she is due the beginning of December and I am so excited for them. It will be neat because my brother and his wife are due in July and I am due in August and my sister and her husband in December. They will be pretty close cousins which is neat. My closest cousins on my mom's side are my own brother and sister so I am excited that my child will have kinds their age to play with at family things.

The Earliest Morning in a Long While...
The Earliest Morning In A Long While
I am proud to say that I was at work this morning at 6:40 am! YIKES! I am usually not even up until 7-7:30. Shane picked up a 7:00 patient Monday-Friday and this morning was the first day. It might be hard for the next couple weeks since I am still fighting morning sickness, but maybe getting up and going will be good for me. A person can only sleep so much eh? We got in the car this morning and I had eaten 1/2 a banana and was feeling pretty good until about halfway here. When we got in my office Shane told me that I didn't look like I felt very good and I promptly grabbed my garbage can and lost my banana. So far I have kept a Costco Apple Muffin down though so all is good in the world!
We went to Wal-Mart the other night because we needed milk and egss. Shane made sure we remembered to stop after the scene we had on Sunday. I really wanted cupcakes and not just any cupcake. I wanted the Funfetti cupcakes with the vanilla frosting with the colored chips. I had the mix and the frosting, but only 1 egg. I see a gigantic problem here. I was laying in bed and I thought, "ooooooh, Goo Goo Cluster ice cream sounds good." So, I went into the kitchen and got out an ice cream bowl and opened the freezer to find that Shane had eating the rest of it. I better have you know that it was Shane's ice cream and I told him I wouldn't eat any. Well, I proceeded to lay on my bed and cry because I really wanted that silly ice cream (on top of this we hadn't gotten to bed until 2 am because Shane had inventory) Shane came in and was like, "Erin, what is wrong?" I told him that I really wanted ice cream or cupcakes and that I couldn't have either of them. He told me that he would call his brother who just lives a street away and see if we could come see their new baby and borrow 2 eggs! Luckily they were happy to let us borrow eggs (and my new niece is very cute to top it off!)
However, back to Wal-Mart and shopping. We went in with plans to walk out quickly and $38.00 later we left. I know, that was some expensive milk and eggs right. Every aisle we walked down had something that sounded good to me. We bought pudding cups, 2 kinds of popcicles, wheat thins, peanut butter, Reeses 100 calorie snacks and a couple other random things!

A Bit of Scrap
I was flipping through the channels this morning and noticed that QVC was having an all day scrapbook fair. I love watching QVC and Shane always says, "Do we have to watch this." However this morning he was getting ready to head up to Salt Lake to see some patients and so before he could ask if we had to watch it I said, "Don't say anything, you are getting ready to leave and I want to watch this." He just couldn't argue with that! It did put me in the scrapbook mood however and I decided to post a couple of my latest pages and maybe I will add a couple more this evening as I finish them up.
This page is a digital page that I did at my mom's. I love digital and not having to clean up a mess and thought about going completely digital at one point. Shane was right though when he told me I could never give up my paper and all the other things. I have always loved paper and art supplies and to this day if we are walking through WalMart or Target I generally walk down the office supply aisle and look at all the crayons, markers, clay etc. It's a real love of mine!

To Be Comfortable or Not, That is the Question
Well, I have reached that point in being pregnant that my pants are just not comfortable. Everyone I have asked says to stay in regular clothes as long as possible because you get so sick of maternity clothes. Yesterday Shane and I went shopping and I ended up getting 3 pairs of maternity pants and 6 shirts. They were so much more comfortable than my normal pants. I actually felt like I could breathe! Here's the links if you are interested (I haven't figured out how to post pictures from a website yet) http://http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=34603&pid=460638&scid=460638022 , http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=34603&pid=460624&scid=460624002, http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=5854&pid=400251, http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=12942&pid=460661&scid=460661002 and http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=12942&pid=460661&scid=460661012.
Let me just tell you that I am so glad I made the jump and that I am so much more comfortable! I felt a little silly at first because my sister in law is 6 weeks farther along and not really showing, but what the heck I much prefer being comfortable!

Little Bean
Well, here it goes. I have officially decided to start a blog, kind of as a journal for my pregnancy and just life in general. I had my first MD appt yesterday and he did an ultrasound (which I really needed for my sanity). I was so worried there wasn't a baby in there that I was going stir crazy! After trying for 2 years and going on Clomid and getting pregnant the first month I still was finding it hard to believe that everything was fine. Here's our little beans first picture.
Now it is really just the question of is it a boy or a girl. I feel very strongly that it is a boy, but everyone else I know thinks that it is a girl. Who can blame me for wanting a boy, why you ask. Well, it would be the first grandson on my family's side and we already have a name picked out. If it is a boy he will be name Ammon Blair and if it is a girl, well we are still working on that. I have multiple names I like it is just getting Shane to like one of them also. I really like the names Kennedy, Avery, Savannah and Delphia but he just thinks that they are just okay.
