The Earliest Morning in a Long While...

  • The Earliest Morning In A Long While

I am proud to say that I was at work this morning at 6:40 am! YIKES! I am usually not even up until 7-7:30. Shane picked up a 7:00 patient Monday-Friday and this morning was the first day. It might be hard for the next couple weeks since I am still fighting morning sickness, but maybe getting up and going will be good for me. A person can only sleep so much eh? We got in the car this morning and I had eaten 1/2 a banana and was feeling pretty good until about halfway here. When we got in my office Shane told me that I didn't look like I felt very good and I promptly grabbed my garbage can and lost my banana. So far I have kept a Costco Apple Muffin down though so all is good in the world!

We went to Wal-Mart the other night because we needed milk and egss. Shane made sure we remembered to stop after the scene we had on Sunday. I really wanted cupcakes and not just any cupcake. I wanted the Funfetti cupcakes with the vanilla frosting with the colored chips. I had the mix and the frosting, but only 1 egg. I see a gigantic problem here. I was laying in bed and I thought, "ooooooh, Goo Goo Cluster ice cream sounds good." So, I went into the kitchen and got out an ice cream bowl and opened the freezer to find that Shane had eating the rest of it. I better have you know that it was Shane's ice cream and I told him I wouldn't eat any. Well, I proceeded to lay on my bed and cry because I really wanted that silly ice cream (on top of this we hadn't gotten to bed until 2 am because Shane had inventory) Shane came in and was like, "Erin, what is wrong?" I told him that I really wanted ice cream or cupcakes and that I couldn't have either of them. He told me that he would call his brother who just lives a street away and see if we could come see their new baby and borrow 2 eggs! Luckily they were happy to let us borrow eggs (and my new niece is very cute to top it off!)

However, back to Wal-Mart and shopping. We went in with plans to walk out quickly and $38.00 later we left. I know, that was some expensive milk and eggs right. Every aisle we walked down had something that sounded good to me. We bought pudding cups, 2 kinds of popcicles, wheat thins, peanut butter, Reeses 100 calorie snacks and a couple other random things!

    A Bit of Scrap

I was flipping through the channels this morning and noticed that QVC was having an all day scrapbook fair. I love watching QVC and Shane always says, "Do we have to watch this." However this morning he was getting ready to head up to Salt Lake to see some patients and so before he could ask if we had to watch it I said, "Don't say anything, you are getting ready to leave and I want to watch this." He just couldn't argue with that! It did put me in the scrapbook mood however and I decided to post a couple of my latest pages and maybe I will add a couple more this evening as I finish them up.

This page is a digital page that I did at my mom's. I love digital and not having to clean up a mess and thought about going completely digital at one point. Shane was right though when he told me I could never give up my paper and all the other things. I have always loved paper and art supplies and to this day if we are walking through WalMart or Target I generally walk down the office supply aisle and look at all the crayons, markers, clay etc. It's a real love of mine!

To Be Comfortable or Not, That is the Question

Well, I have reached that point in being pregnant that my pants are just not comfortable. Everyone I have asked says to stay in regular clothes as long as possible because you get so sick of maternity clothes. Yesterday Shane and I went shopping and I ended up getting 3 pairs of maternity pants and 6 shirts. They were so much more comfortable than my normal pants. I actually felt like I could breathe! Here's the links if you are interested (I haven't figured out how to post pictures from a website yet) http://http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=34603&pid=460638&scid=460638022 , http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=34603&pid=460624&scid=460624002, http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=5854&pid=400251, http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=12942&pid=460661&scid=460661002 and http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=12942&pid=460661&scid=460661012.

Let me just tell you that I am so glad I made the jump and that I am so much more comfortable! I felt a little silly at first because my sister in law is 6 weeks farther along and not really showing, but what the heck I much prefer being comfortable!

    Little Bean

Well, here it goes. I have officially decided to start a blog, kind of as a journal for my pregnancy and just life in general. I had my first MD appt yesterday and he did an ultrasound (which I really needed for my sanity). I was so worried there wasn't a baby in there that I was going stir crazy! After trying for 2 years and going on Clomid and getting pregnant the first month I still was finding it hard to believe that everything was fine. Here's our little beans first picture.

Now it is really just the question of is it a boy or a girl. I feel very strongly that it is a boy, but everyone else I know thinks that it is a girl. Who can blame me for wanting a boy, why you ask. Well, it would be the first grandson on my family's side and we already have a name picked out. If it is a boy he will be name Ammon Blair and if it is a girl, well we are still working on that. I have multiple names I like it is just getting Shane to like one of them also. I really like the names Kennedy, Avery, Savannah and Delphia but he just thinks that they are just okay.
