A New Dress

I just had to get some pictures of Josie in her new dress that I made from a onesie. It was honestly the fastest thing I have ever made because the top is already made for you. I found the tutorial online and made it from scraps from her car seat cover and leftover ric-rac. I think it turned out really cute and looks cute on her!

Phiaisms Part 7

Friday night we were in Pocatello with my mom since Shane had to stay home and work. Delphia was excited to sleep with me in the queen bed downstairs at Grandma GG's. She had quite the night, so here are a few funnies.

She woke up crying at about 4 am and I asked her what was wrong. She said, "Someone poked me in the eye." I responded with, "Who poked you in the eye?" She replied, "My favorite animal, Monkey." I told her to tell Monkey to be nice and go back to sleep.

She woke up at 3 am when Josie woke up to eat. I was out on the couch feeding Josie and I hear her say, "No, I don't want to go to sewing class." I called her name and told her I was on the couch and that she could come out. She ca,e and sat by me and kept me company. She kept commenting on the tractor on the fireplace. She couldn't figure why it was red and not yellow. We put Josie back in bed in the pack'n'play in the room and she started to fuss after I got Phia in bed. Delphia really hates it when she cries so it was no surprise when I heard her say, "Oh my goodness, go to sleep Josie!"

Then around 5 am she was crawling over me and I asked what she was doing. She told me she wanted to sleep on my side. I helped her over and rolled to the other side. Funny thing was when the next morning I was telling my mom and grandma. They asked her why she traded sides of the bed and she told them there was a caterpillar under her. Grandma GG asked if she picked it up and threw it in the garbage and she said no. So, I guess I slept with the caterpillar.

Her other funnies consist of telling Shane, "Slow down dear," whenever he touches the brake in the van or car.

She told Grandma GG on Saturday, "Don't look at me again or you sit in time-out!"

Four Generations

We went to Pocatello Friday and Saturday with my mom and I got a four generation picture!

Just the 2 Of Us!

Josie and Eli are going to have tons of pictures together. Let's face it, they are a day apart so it is inevitable! They are so cute together and it is so fun to watch them.

Ashley and her kids cam over on Friday and the girls had fun playing while Ashley and I visited. You would think that since she lives out here that we would see them a lot, but honestly we see them less than we did when they lived in Sandy.

The girls had tons of fun and made a huge mess as always, but that seems to be part of the fun to them! They had a couple tiffs but got along pretty well. Delphia is protective of Josie and her things so when Emma got on of her dolls out of the clost it wasn't okay with Delphia. Delphia told her that she couldn't play with it because it was Josie's and Emma responded that it was hers. This continued for a couple turns until Delphi threw herself on the floor and cried. They had a similiar incident regarding the Dr Seuss and the princess backpack but it all got worked out minutes a couple tears on Delphia's part.

It came time to clean toys up and that was another story that ended in tears because we told them they could have a rice crispie treat if they helped clean up. Ruby was a great help, Delphia was so-so and Emma just didn't care......until she didn't get a treat with the other two. She did get to take it home for cleaning up their toy room and I am betting that she helped clean up

Princess Bike

We went to Phia's cousin Brisa's birthday a while back and she got a new bike for her birthday. They got her to climb on but couldn't really get her to smile and she asked if she could get off when they were done taking pictures.

After she got off Delphia took interest in it and climbed up on it and was trying to pedal. It is a big bike though so she could only pedal standing up and until the pedal was all the way pushed down. Grandma and Grandpa Great kept wheeling her back so she could pedal more. She would get on and then off and pretty soon would be back on.

Uncle Justin said that they had Brisa's old bike that Delphia could have. We finally went and got it a little while later and Delphia loves it. She can't quite reach both pedals at the same time but she manages. She pushed back and it makes her stop and then she has a hard time getting going again.

Shane put wood blocks on it but didn't make then high enough and the wood makes the pedals heavy so they turn on their side. She wants to ride it whenever we are outside. We just need to get her a helmet for her little crashes. She already crashed one because she went into the grass. She was a little shook up but got back on and rode it into the garage.

This picture was taken last Wednesday. We got home and she wanted to go outside and ride. She had been good on all our errands so we let her go outside for a bit. While we were out we visited with Pat and Jerry, our next door neighbors who adore Delphia and she adores then in return!

Picture for Dr Later

These were just a couple picture that I took on Tuesday so that I could print one out to give to Dr Later when I went up for my 6 week on Wednesday.

She was so content while I took tons of pictures!

Her little headband flower was made by her Great Grandma Freeman but the headband it was on was too big so I just cut it off and put it onto a hair clip!

What a Fun Day!

Last Tuesday we went to my mom's and we were planning on running to the scrapbook store to get some paper that my mom needed. I decided that if we were running there that I would see if my mom was willing to run to the mall to find a swim suit and sandals for Delphia. When I got to her house she said that would be fine.

First we took Dallen to tracks and then headed to the mall. We ran to Children's place and found that their swimsuits were on sale for $5! Delphia grabbed one that she liked and I grabbed a different one in 2 sizes and we headed to the dressing room to try them on. It was a little surreal trying on clothes for her to wear and I was amazed at how fast she is growing up. She had an opinion about what she wanted and I let her choose. She ended up liking the swimsuit I had grabbed and didn't even want to try the other one on. She was looking in the mirror and I could tell she was just tickled pink that she got to choose a swim suit. We tried a 3T on first but it was too big so we ended up getting a 24 month. We got her dressed and she went out and told Grandma that we tried on her swimming suit in the dining room. I had to explain that it was a dressing room. I also let her choose some sandals. She had the choice between flip-flops and sandals and ended up choosing the sandals. These were what we went home with.

They have a train at the mall and she is all about trains so she wanted to ride it. I however didn't want to figure out how to manage it with the stroller. Delphia was heartbroken so Grandma suggested that we let her ride on the carousel. Delphi liked that idea but I wasn't so sure she would like it after our experience last time. We got the carousel and she got her token out of the machine and stood by the fence just waiting and watching all the animals trying to decide which she wanted to sit on. When it was her turn to get on she chose a horse and agreed with Grandma that he should be named Spirit. She had fun riding and when she got off she wanted to ride again but we told her we were going to get a hamburger and that we would ride it again sometime. Watching her stand by the fence she looked so big and I can just remember her when she was little and how much she hated riding it last time. Yet more proof that she is growing up.

We then went to Burger King or as Delphia calls it, King Burger and she got a hamburger and a crown but no ice cream since all they do is milkshakes. We then ran to Hobby Lobby which Phia called Lobby Lobby. She tried to ride on the cart bottom but it was too short and her feet kept dragging.

All in all it was a fun day and I hope to have a couple more this summer with my cute girls!

Get Together

Last week my grandma was down for the week so we decided to have a girls outing on Saturday. It was just us ladies except for little Eli. Aunt Marla wanted to see the babies so she came down and then it was Ashley, my mom, Grandma, Meg and I.

We went to Cheesecake factory an enjoyed the delicious food. Everyone except me got the chicken salad sandwich and soup of the day. I got the Chinese Chicken Salad which was gigantic. Some of us got cheesecake and we all sampled each others. Marla got a lemon raspberry, I had lemon white chocolate, Ashley got key lime and my mom got their red velvet which I really didn't like. It was way too sweet with the cream cheese frosting!

After we ate we went to Pine Needles where I found the umbrella fabric I have been looking for. I plan to make dresses for the girls. I also helped Ash pick out a project for her house. We then went to Hobby Lobby and looked around. It was fun! I just had to take Josie as my dad was willing to watch Delphia.

She had a fun time with Grandpa that day. They went to the hospital to visit a guy in my parents stake. My dad reported that when they were in the elevator a lady was in there and Delphia looked at her and said, "You come to the hospital too?" After that he took her to McDonalds and got her a Happy Meal. He took her for a wagon ride and took some pictures with some Easter grass of my mom.s that were hilarious and just show her personality!

When I got home that afternoon she said to me, "Hey, where's my boy?" I said, "What boy? Do you have a boy?" She responded, "Yes with Grandpa." I told her she better go ask Grandpa because I hadn't the foggiest what she was talking about. She asked Grandpa but he didn't act like he knew either. Later that night Ashley was getting ready to head home and she pulled a little guy out of her baby gift and asked Phia if it was hers. Delphia looked at it and said ,"My boy!" Apparently "her boy" was the Pinocchio guy from Shrek. She loves him because when you press his nose he says, "I'll never be a real boy!" She says it with him and it is the funniest!

The other funny that happened that day was when Shane went to change Delphia before we headed home. He took her pants off and said, "Where did this diaper come from." At that moment I knew my dad had put a size 1 diaper on her. It was one that Shane had put in the diaper bag to try on Josie as she is still in newborns. My dad saw that it was bigger than the ones it was in the pile with, figured it was hers and put it on her. I was amazed it fit her and couldn't stop laughing as my dad has changed her before and should have known it was smaller that the 4's she normally wears!

We also took a updated picture of Josie and Eli. They were so cute together. We were all standing over them taking pictures. I should have taken a picture. They were probably wondering what we were doing.

Craziness!

It all started with me trying to get some cute pictures of Josie as I haven't been very good at taking pictures this past week.

I got a couple pictures, which were blurry because she was moving. Then Phia insisted that she be in the pictures. Shane told her to hang on for a second and I got this grumpy looking Josie picture.

Then Phia wanted to hold her, specifically rock HIM....

a couple goofy faces later.....

a snapshot of Josie looking at the lights intently....

a goofy girl using Shane as a gym....

Phia teasing me and covering Josie eyes while I continue to get a good picture...

Shane trying to keep her from teasing Josie....

My three goofballs that I love dearly!

Dora Memory

I used to think that our life revolved around Dora but lately the Dora craziness has dies down. Delphia doesn't even really ask to watch Dora whereas she used to want to watch it all day. Her cousins Ruby and Emma love Dora and like watching it at Grandmas but Delphia doesn't care to watch it with them.

She has entered a new phase. I call it the "I want mommies attention all the time phase." No really, it's not as bad as it sounds, she just wants me to entertain her all day and not do much of anything else. She loves to play games of pretty much any sort. A few of her favorites are Dora Candyland, Dora Memory, Kerplunk, Don't Spill the Beans and other games of the sort.

She has a real love for Dora Candyland however. The game goes differently every time we play depending on her mood. Sometimes she goofs around, not caring whether she gets matches or not, sometimes she plays to win. She does however always say, "Good job! You got a match." We are trying to teach her that it's okay if she doesn't win and to be a good sport.

On this particular day, I had come upstairs to wake the girls up after napping for 3 hours. (The first time they both napped simultaneously. HOORAY!!!) Josie was still asleep so I asked Delphia if she wanted to play a game. She said she wanted to play Dora Memory. I kid you not, I got it down and set it on the table and Josie started to cry. Delphia broke down into tears because she wanted to play and I told her we could play right now. I finally convinced her that it would be fun to watch Dora and eat a fruit snack while I fed Josie and that after wards we could play the game that I had promised to play.

Phiaisms Part 6

I have been meaning to post a couple Phiaisms from the last month before I forget.

A couple days after having Josie we were sitting at the table getting ready to eat breakfast and Shane was saying the prayer. I don't remember exactly what was said other than being thankful for the girls and that Josie could join our family and something about letting Phia know we loved her. I broke down into tears for no reason other than just emotions running through me. Delphia looked up after the prayer and gave me a look like, "Why are you crying now? You weren't crying at the beginning of the prayer..." She asked Shane why I was crying and Shane tole her it was just a little postpartum. She looked at me and said, "It's okay mom. It's just a little hippopotamus."

She notices things that I wouldn't think she would. If you are talking about the van and refer to it as the car she will correct you and say, "No, the van."

Her and grandpa were rolling the ball the other day and when Shane got home she told him, "This says crocodile." Shane thought she was just playing and told her to show him where it said crocodile. She brought him the ball and pointed to the word and said, "See it says crocodile." Shane was shocked that she knew what it said until I explained that Grandpa probably told her.

Pizza Rolls

During Shane's time off for the baby I decided to make Pizza Rolls off of Our Best Bites. They were quite time consuming but very delicious. We made pepperoni and ham and pineapple. Delphia always tells me to make pizza rolls for dinner. Sad to say, next time I am going to try pizza pinwheels and rolls them out like a cinnamon roll, top the dough and slice them!

Shoe Obsessed!

Delphia has been really into shoes lately and not just her shoes but everyone elses shoes. I cannot tell you how many times I have gone to put my shoes on and they are totally unlaced! She has unlaced her shoes numerous times telling me she is going to "tie" her shoes. She always helps put on my shoes and "ties" them. "Ties" means she twists the laces around around into coils. On this particular day we had Ruby and Emma over and Delphia came out of her room and had Emma's shoes on.

You Can't Get Much Closer Than This!

Ashley, Emma and Eli came over to visit last Thursday while Ruby was at a friends. We finally got a picture of Josie and Eli together. We decided it was perfect because he was in blue and she was in pink. Eli was born on 4/12 at 3:58 pm and was 10 lbs 1 oz and Josie was born 4/13 at 12:44 pm and was 6 lbs 1 oz so they aren't even 24 hours apart. It amazes me the difference in size! They will be best buds I am sure! I love all of Eli chubbiness and can't wait till Josie gets chubbier. I am excited just because she is starting to fill out.

Playing Outside

We have had good intentions to get our 2 55 gal water barrels filled and rinsed out. Well Shane got the gumption to get them filled last week, now we just need to rinse them out and refill them. Delphia had fun playing outside while Shane was out. He also got the lawn mower fixed and sprinklers running and a flower bed weeded last week.

We don't have many birds out here so we were delighted to see one hopping around the yard. I told Delphia it was probably hurt and unable to fly but Shane saw it fly to the top of our tree. I was amazed he was just hopping around the lawn looking for worms after the rain.
