'Mommy Mode'

Here's a picture of me and Delphia that Shane took at Grandma's house yesterday! It's amazing how tiny she is and I actually like how the picture turned out! I have to have a bragging moment....I am down to my pre-pregnancy weight and back into my regular clothes and she is only a week old! That has to make a girl feel good right?

Here's an updated picture of the little bean! I love her in the color green and so she and I had fun taking some pictures this morning before Grandma came to spend the day!

I am struggling to get into what I am calling 'mommy mode.' I have been so used to 'work mode' for the last 7 years that it has been a big change to stay at home and not really have a schedule. I used to wake up and get breakfast and get to work and stay busy all day, eat lunch with everyone in the office around noon and work some more and spend the rest of my day at my mom's waiting for Shane to get off work. Now I get up and am lucky to hop in the shower before it's time to feed her, my hair gets wet 3-4 times before it gets blowdryed. It was 10 by the time I got breakfast and I don't really feel that I got much accomplished today. It's just a really different lifestyle from what I am used to. I have wanted to stay home forever and be a mom and I am so looking forward to it, I just know it will take awhile to get used to. It doesn't help that this week Shane has worked 1:30 pm to 10 pm every night and I just had her a week ago. I know it will get easier though and I can't wait to spend all day with this little angel girl and teach her all the things she needs to know, it's just hard right now when she can't even communicate and she pretty much just sleeps. Shane and I love her so much though and it's hard to imagine our lives without her.

Tomorrow I am planning on sleeping until Shane gets back from seeing his patient and letting him get Delphi ready and I will get ready and then we are going to stop by the office to show off our darling little Delphia! It should be fun!
