Halloween A Little Early

Yesterday Shane had the day off and we spent most of the day getting ready for the Freeman Halloween Party. We made Taco Soup, breadsticks and pumpkin bars. Anita brought Chili, Mandy brought tortilla chips, Heather brought a jello salad, Justin did sour cream and sugar cookies, Haley brough cheese, Grandma and Grandpa Freeman brought no bake and pop and Grandma Schow brought pineapple cookies and rice crispy treats.

While we were getting stuff ready Phia was playing in her room and then we couldn't hear her at all so Shane went to check on her annd she was sitting in the scrapbook room with her new favorite book:

She loves this book! It has touchy feely pages. Shane brought her into the living room so we could keep an eye on her and she sat in her booster seat and pretended to read the book to herself. These are the only pictures I managed to get of the whole thing. I am so glad that she likes books and really hope they will continue to be important to her! I sure tried to plant the seed early hoping she would have a love for them!

My milk baby! This morning I took her milk to refill it and she just burst into tears until she realized what I was doing! She wanted to carry her milk and ice pack to the party but it was a little heavy for her!

Shane and I made these for the party and they were a hit! They are really easy and filled with candy alothough I have to tell you that Shane filled them and he put very few Snickers and Twix in them so he had them to eat later.

Phia as a bumblebee. She didn't like the hood on her head and kept trying to unzip it and get out! Boy was she a cute bumblebee and covered with black fuzz when we got her out of her costume!

Group picture, kinda....Kaylea did't want to leave Haley as she had fallen asleep in the car and the rest of the kids were wondering why Tigger was crying and no one was picking her up.

Grandma Anita brought a Halloween Bingo game for the kids and a cute Halloween story to read to them. She eded up reading the story twice by request from the kids and Phia wanted the book for herself the whole time!

I wasn't going to take Phia to play Bingo because I didn't think she would be interested. Mandy took her over and started to play and Phia grabbed a candy corn and Mandy asked if she could have it and I told Mandy she loved candy corn. The game proceeded and everytime Mandy would put a candy corn on the Bingo board Phia would pick it up and eat it. She had 3 or 4 in her mouth at one time and then Mandy just stopped playing with candy corn and just remembering what had been called (I'm guessing.)

Grandma Anita gave them Halloween bags and Phia was delighted. She got a straw, a whistle, tatoos, runts, taffy, wagon wheels (Gerber), candy corn and a few other little things. She was having a ball pulling the whistle slide thing and pushing it back in. Mandy brought them Halloween marshmellows and Grandma Freeman brought them Rice Crispy Treats and Tootsie rolls and a spider ring which Phia wanted nothing to do with. She was all about the Tootsie rolls and didn't want to put her Ziplocbaggie down and then kept finding everyone elses wanting them open.

Anita brought her pirate costume for Shane to wear and Phia was quite enthralled with the sword so we decided she was going to be a sword wielding bumblebee. She was exhausted by the time we got home and barely opened her eyes as we got her ready for bed.

Everyone had a fun evening so I think it will become a tradition every year.

Well, I better go bath Phia and get her ready for the day. We need to take Halloween treats to my sisters I visit teach and get a soup ready for the Alpine potluck tomorrow!

Fieldtrips and Fun!

Boy have we been busy around here! Last Friday we decided to go to the park for a picnic with Grandma and Ashley and her kids. The girls had a ball and it was an absolutely beautiful day!

Phia wasn't sure what to think about the whole picnic idea and pretty much just played with Emma the whole time and would come back to me for bites of food.

Who will end up with the fruit snack? It is actually Emma's but Phia saw it and could recognize a fruit snack a mile away and she wanted it so the proceeded to take turns (kinda) holding it.

Delphia loves the slide and she was so proud of herself because she can hold herself at the top and decide to go down when she is ready. It's really nice because I can get to the bottom in time to catch her!

This is sideways I know but I couldn't figure out how to turn in around. Phia saw Ruby climbing up the slide so everytime she went down she had to try and climb up.

She wanted to go down every slide so Grandma took her to the top of the twisty slide and down she went. My mom was waiting for me to take a picture and the whole time Delphia was trying to push off to go down the slide!

She went around a corner and turned head first and this is how she ended up at the end. She wasn't real upset and wanted to go down again and again! I don't think she was too happy about me making her lay there and taking a picture!

Wild child! I came to get her up last week from her nap and she was jumping in her bed with her tongue out hanging onto her socks which I am sure came off the second I closed the door from laying her down.

Playing with her activity table and babbling on and on! She pretty much just rambles all the time no matter where we are! Yesterday she kept saying ham on the car ride to Alpine!

I love this picture! She just looks like such a big girl and I can't believe how fast the time has gone!

Another one of her new talents is picking toe jam out from between her toes. I always clean them out but now she has decided she can.

Wild Sunday pictures! It is almost impossible to get a picture of her because she just doesn't sit still for very long, if at all.

Phia's trick-or-treat bag! It was fun to make and really simple!

On Saturday Phia and I went to Ogden with Grandma to get together with my grandma, Cindy and Marla. We had a fun day ahd Delphia had fun playing with Riley and Conner. Riley even wanted to babysit her when we went to Taipan. They got her a blanket and pillow, toys to play with and stuffed animals to cuddle wit. I think she liked all the attention!

Yesterday all the grandaughters and their moms and grandma went on a little trip to Peppermint Place in Alpine and Cabelas. We were kind of dissapointed in the Peppermint Place as you can no longer watch them make candy as they have moved their gift shop. It was more of a boutique and not near as fun as the old shop.

The girls all loved the fish tunnel at Cabelas but weren't too impressed with the stuffed animals.

We have plans to go to the zoo next week and that should be really fun. The grandaughters are all going trick-or-treating together on Friday and I am sure will have a good old time!

Well, Phia is napping so I am going to go sew more on my advent calender!

Pizza Pie Anyone?

Yes, you got it! Delphia loves pizza and Shane loves to make homemade pizza. We decided that's what we wanted for dinner last night so Shane got to making it all while holding Phia so she could watch him spread the pizza sauce! She ate a whole piece of pizza at dinner minus the one piece that didn't have sauce or anything on it. Which I thought was odd because she loves any sort of bread.

Delphi loves to climb on things and try to pull herself up. She wanted daddy to pick her up and was starting to climb up his legs. They play the silliest games that I wouldn't even think of but boy does she love playing with her daddy when he has the day off.

Folding laundry....she used to just sit and unfold what you folded and it was really hard to fold laundry with her. She is at the point now where she goes and brings you something to fold, you fold it and she brings you something else to fold. It is very helpful compared to her unfolding everything!

This girl is serious aboout her milk! She adores her milk and even will hold it and pat it like she does her teddy bear. When she wants her milk nothing else will do, not even a cookie (maybe M&M's). If you try and feed her and she wants milk she will just points and make noise. She drinks and then stops and you think she is done with her milk and then she decides she wants more milk.

Ice cream time! She ate so well yesterday we decided she could have a little ice cream in a cone. She was content with hers until she saw that I actually had a scoop of ice cream on my cone and then she wanted mine.

What a mess! I kept trying to get a picture of her face and she kept putting her cone to her mouth. I finally said, "Phia, can you move your cone?" Immediately she did and I didn't think anything of it until I said the word cone again and she moved it to her ear. I guess phone and cone sound similiar! Shane and I were laughing so hard and she just looked at us like, "What is so funny?"

Storytime! She loves books but it as the point where she likes to turn the pages and babble to herself and not so much you reading to her. She was enjoiying the book ,"That's not my princess" in this picture. It has touchy spots and she loves to feel them!

I have 5 more thing to applique on my Advent calendar and then just need to sew it together and do the pockets.

I ran across this cute bag for Halloween and may attempt to make Phia one.

We are having a Freeman family Halloween party next Wednesday and then Phia is going Trick-or-Treating at Alpine and then Halloween night! Tomorrow we are going to Salt Lake and going on a picnic. Busy, busy!
