Yesterday before nap time I told Delphia that we could play Dora Memory after her nap. As soon as she was out of her room she said, "I am up from my nap. Now we play Dora memory." Josie however had other plans so I told Delphia we would play after I fed her. She just looked at me and said, "We made a deal mom." She did wait however and we had fun playing, not one but 3 games and she had fun eating Stackers.

We Made a Deal....
How would you like hear this phrase come out of your two year olds mouth? Not a bad phrase but a dangerous one when she knows exactly how to use it.

Sisters Photo Shoot
Yesterday was our first day home by ourselves since Shane went back to work. All in all it went pretty well although I was exhausted by the time he got home.
My favorite part of the day was this impromptu photo shoot on Delphia's bed when she woke up. It amazes me how much I love these two little girls and that more than anything I just want them to be happy and love the gospel and keep them protected from the big world.

Delphia is so amazed with everything that Josie does and just likes watching her. She kept telling me that Josie liked her bed.

Two Weeks
Josie was two weeks on Tuesday and I took her in for her 2 week appointment. She weighed 6 lbs 4 oz (5%), was 19.53 in long (21%) and her head was 14.1 inches (50%). She grew a whole inch from when she was born and has reached her birth weight and then some. She has a smaller head than Delphia because she was in like the 93%. She is a growing girl. In fact, this morning we tried to get her dressed in a preemie outfit and she was too long and couldn't straighten her legs!

All Dressed Up!
Last week Delphia was playing in her room and Shane and I were folding laundry. She walked into our room where we were sitting and announced, "I am all dressed up!" We looked up at her and tried not to laugh too hard and hurt her feelings but she looked pretty silly!
She loves to play in her sock/underwear/hat/scarf/shoe drawer and try on different things together. Sometimes they aren't even used for what they really are. Sometimes hats are used for star pockets, bags and bear carriers and sometimes her socks are gloves and a scarf a lasso. It is so fun to wonder what she will think up next! It truly is a fun stage but I have to admit that I am not very good at playing along and pretending. Hopefully that will come from having a 2 1/2 year old!

All In A Days Work
Just little snippets of our first Sunday at home....
Josie loves to have her hand by her face. We can't even wrap her swaddled very well because she hates having her hands down. I actually think that the looser we wrap her the better she sleeps.

Delphia wanted a Dora book read to her before church and so Shane decided to set Josie on the couch and read to both of them. The bottom picture is of Delphia pointing at me and telling me not to take a picture of them. She has gotten quite bossy as of late and her and daddy don't always get along so well because them both are a little too much alike in some aspects. I told Shane that's why they clash sometimes and he said that he thought I was right.

Puppy Baby
Since we brought Josie home Delphia is constantly buckling the car seat and bouncer chair. It makes it a little hard when you are ready to put the baby in either one and it is all done up. We have asked her not to buckle them. I think she figures however if she buckles SOMETHING in and doesn't just buckle it up for the fun of it that it is okay. It makes me laugh to see the puppy buckled in thing but it can sometimes be a little frustrating!
Thumb (Hand) Sucker
Probably one of the main differences between Delphia and Josie to this point is the fact that Josie loves her hand. In turn, this also means that she will take a pacifier. Delphia never wanted anything to do with a pacifier no matter how hard we tried. Josie always has her hands by her face if not in her mouth and a pacifier usually calms her right down.

It made me smile when I laid her on the bed one evening on her stomach and she immediately put her hand to her mouth. Delphia wanted to get up by her and so we caught this darling picture of them together. Delphia is pretty amazed by her new little sister and is constantly telling us she is a greatest big sister!

Cookie Making
On Monday when Ashley was having Eli Grandma made sugar cookie dough for the girls so they could cut them out ad help bake them.
They took turns cutting cookies out and putting them on the baking sheet.

I think that they really liked eating the raw cookie dough the best out of the whole experience. I know that Delphia couldn't get enough!

After they had baked and cooled we were going to let them help frost but decided it would be too messy. Ruby asked if she could help and we told her she could do sprinkles because frosting would be too hard. She however insisted she could fo it. Grandma put some frosting on a knife and gave her a cookie and it didn't take too long before she decided it was too hard. They took turns doiung sprinkles and then sat at the counter and enjoyed their cookie making efforts!

Playdough!
Delphia loves to play with playdough but it isn't Mommy's favorite thing to do. She can talk Shane into playing with it sometimes and Sunday was one of those times. She can get kinda of bossy though telling you what to do and wanting your color of dough after she told you that was the color you had to use. Oh well, Shane just goes with it!

Phiaisms Part 5
Sunday night we were headed home from Shane family Easter get together. Delphia wasn't happy about going home because she was having fun playing with her cousins. We had given her her water, monkey and blanket when we buckled her in. When we got home they were all thrown out of her chair and on the floor. Shane said, "Delphia, you threw monkey, your cup and your blanket!" She just looked at him and said, "I picked my nose too!"

Playing Outside and Electricity!
Yesterday Shane got the chance to learn a new skill. My dad, Uncle Les and Shane all got together at the house so we could get more power sockets in the basement for my sewing machine and computer which are being moved downstairs to make room for Josie J. They put in 3 new outlets and set up the basement for all the wiring that will need to be done to finish the basement. Shane was very happy that he did most all of it and Les just told him what to do. He hooked up everything to the main breaker, put the outlets in and ran the wiring.
He even fixed the 3 outlets on the bar in the kitchen that stopped working about a year after we moved in. I now have 6 outlets in the kitchen work space instead of just 3.
We also got Phia's old summer stuff packed up and Josie's closet arranged for the most part. We need to get curtains bought/made and hung and get her vinyl decorations on the walls. We need to get internet downstairs and get the computer moved and the chair moved into the babies room. Shane also got the garage cleaned out in hopes that we can fit 2 cars in it. Delphia had fun playing outside on her bike and with the bubbles while he was keeping an eye on her while cleaning and I was working on my dad's invoices.

New and Wrecked Cars
As I previously posted Shane wrecked the Nissan about 3 weeks ago and State Farm decided they were totaling it because there is 3800 in damage and possibly another 500 more inside after they took it apart. So, we were looking for another car after we found all of this out last Tuesday. I was kinda sad because we had just gotten two cars and I had my own car to drive me wherever my little heart desired. My dad called my uncle however and found a car for us that would cost us what they were giving us for the Altima which wasn't much since it had just hit 195,000 miles. We are planning on going and picking it up on Thursday in Tremonton.

Here's my new car that Delphia and I are so excited to have. She calls it her van and she is sure to correct me if I tell her something is in the car or that we are going somewhere in the car. She says,"Not the car, the van!" You wouldn't think having a car would be such a big thing to a little girl but it seems to be really exciting to her. I told her that one day she will be able to tell Josie that at one point in time we didn't have a car. This last week we ventured into Lehi to get wipers checked off for safety, Target, story time at the library, sewing class and then to Salt Lake to shop for Phia summer clothes and some stuff for baby Josie.

Friday she wanted to ride home with Shane in the car but after they got to Home Depot and then Walmart she decided she wanted to ride home with me in the van. In Phia's words, "I love my van!"

Baseball Phia
Delphia loves to play "baseball." She has the right idea that you hit something with something else and that one is a ball and the other a bat. However anything will do for the ball and the bat. She uses her dustpan, broom and pinto the pony for the bat and various balls etc for the ball. She never asks me to play baseball with her. It is an activity reserved especially for Daddy.
It Matches My Shirt!
Delphia has this new thing with everything matching her outfit/shirt. If she doesn't know what matches she asks. I am not sure where it came from all of a sudden. I know we have told her certain things don't match but I think sometimes she goes a little overboard with her matching. Take this picture for example. She had to have a green spoon, green cup, and green bowl to match her green shirt. I guess I should rephrase that and say that she had to have a verde spoon, cup and bowl to match her verde shirt. Every other color is the english name except green and occasionaly red.
